In-Depth Assessments

Psychiatric Evaluations

A thorough, compassionate evaluation to help you understand your symptoms, gain clarity, and begin a personalized plan for improved mental health.

Psychiatric Evaluations

A psychiatric evaluation is an essential first step in understanding your mental health needs and developing a personalized plan for treatment. At Uplift Mental Health Services PLLC, we approach each evaluation with compassion, respect, and a commitment to truly listening so you feel supported throughout the process.

Our evaluations are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your emotional well-being, symptoms, history, and goals. Whether this is your first time seeking mental health support or you are continuing care, we will work collaboratively to make the process comfortable and informative.

What to Expect During Your Evaluation

Your first appointment typically lasts longer than follow-up visits because it allows time for a complete assessment. During this session, we explore several areas of your life and emotional functioning so we can better understand what you are experiencing.

A psychiatric evaluation includes:

  • A supportive, judgment-free conversation focused on your concerns

  • A review of past mental health treatment including medications, therapy, or diagnoses

  • Assessment of current symptoms, challenges, and how they affect your daily life

  • Discussion of potential diagnoses, when clinically appropriate

  • A personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs, preferences, and long-term goals

Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable space where you can speak openly about your experiences without fear or pressure.

Who Can Benefit From a Psychiatric Evaluation

A psychiatric evaluation may be helpful if you are experiencing:

  • Persistent sadness, anxiety, or irritability

  • Difficulty concentrating or completing tasks

  • Changes in sleep, appetite, or energy

  • Emotional overwhelm or mood swings

  • Trauma-related symptoms

  • Relationship or work difficulties

  • Loss of interest or motivation

  • Concerns about ADHD or focus challenges

Evaluations are also beneficial if you have been referred by another provider or if you are seeking a second opinion.
