Integrated emotional support during appointments to help you build coping skills and feel understood throughout your care.
In addition to evaluations and medication management, we also offer brief supportive therapy integrated into appointments. This type of care focuses on providing emotional support, practical tools, and a safe space to talk through what you are experiencing as you move through your mental health journey.
Brief supportive therapy is not the same as long-term psychotherapy, but it can play a valuable role in helping you feel heard, validated, and encouraged while you work toward your goals. Our aim is to support both your emotional well-being and your treatment plan as a whole.
Brief supportive therapy involves focused, time-limited conversations that are centered on your current concerns, emotions, and stressors. These conversations are woven into your existing visits when appropriate to help you process what you are going through and build coping strategies.
Space to talk about your feelings in a calm, non-judgmental environment
Exploration of current stressors such as work, relationships, health, or life changes
Encouragement and emotional validation as you navigate difficult situations
Discussion of coping skills and problem-solving strategies tailored to your needs
Support in understanding your symptoms and how they connect to daily life
This supportive approach helps you feel less alone in what you are experiencing while reinforcing your strengths and resilience.
Supportive conversations can be especially helpful during times of transition, increased stress, or when symptoms feel more intense. Even short, focused sessions can provide relief and clarity.
Improved understanding of your emotions and reactions
Increased confidence in managing stress and symptoms
Enhanced sense of support and connection during treatment
Guidance in making decisions that align with your values and goals
Brief supportive therapy works alongside medication management and other services to create a more complete, patient-centered approach to care.
This type of support may be a good fit if you:
Would like a safe place to talk about how you are feeling
Are experiencing life stressors that impact your mental health
Want practical coping tools you can use day to day
Prefer focused, short-term support rather than ongoing weekly therapy
Would like emotional support integrated with your medication and treatment plan
We will discuss your needs and preferences together to determine how supportive therapy can best be integrated into your care.
Our goal is to ensure you feel heard, supported, and guided as you work toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
